Saravana Suthanthira, President
Saravana Suthantthira is the Founder of the CARE Collective for Aging and Environment and a dedicated community leader focused on senior well-being and sustainability. A first-generation immigrant raised by her grandparents, she brings a personal understanding of the emotional and social needs of older adults.

She has volunteered and served in leadership roles with community and cultural organizations, as well as in senior-support and sustainability initiatives. Motivated by the knowledge and belief that seniors’ wisdom and experience strengthen both community and environmental outcomes, Saravana founded the CARE Collective to foster connection, purpose, and environmental stewardship.

Professionally, Saravana is a Civil Engineer and Transportation Planner with over two decades of experience working with state, county, and local agencies in Arizona and California, and she currently leads her own consulting practice.

As a Secretary at CARE Collective for Aging and Environment, Sriram contributes time and energy toward initiatives that support older adults and promote sustainable, age-friendly communities. His commitment to service was inspired by Saravana Suthanthira and is rooted in a belief that strong, compassionate communities are built through consistent, hands-on action.

Sriram is currently a teaching volunteer with the California Tamil Academy, where he teaches Tamil language to young children. Through this role, Sriram helps preserve cultural heritage, strengthen language skills, and inspire the next generation to take pride in their identity.

Sriram is a proud Bay Area immunologist with about two decades of experience developing therapeutics against cancer and autoimmune diseases. Sriram is a biotech entrepreneur with a track record of building and scaling drug discovery organizations. He is currently a General Partner at Foundery Fund and an advisor helping other entrepreneurs and startups in the immunotherapeutics space.
